CDR William A. Lanier, DVM, MPH, DACVPM
Commander Willy Lanier is a U.S. Public Health Service veterinary officer assigned to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service as a Senior Epidemiologist, focusing on learning from foodborne outbreaks to prevent illness. Willy also has experience in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Utah Department of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration. He considers himself a One Health practitioner. Willy’s professional interests include epidemiology, pathology, and public health policy. He lives with his wife and children near Salt Lake City, Utah.
